Train Platform Safety Device

Deployed to all stations along the Tokyu Ikegami Line, the system enables to stop the train or prevent to leave when detecting passengers standing in the DANGER area of platform or fallen to the railroad. 6.7 m long infrared light sensor has been installed between the pillars of platform, which corresponds to the width of each train door, and detects the danger when passenger cross the infrared light and report to the train coming. For out side usage, the sensor reachable length has been set for 100 times longer than actual use and it is durable. When you ride the Tokyo Ikegami Line, please take a look, but do not conduct the sensor test, which stops the train.

This system is now used in the limousine bus running
between the Osaka-Itami Airport and the vicinity of Kobe,
Osaka and Kyoto.
Infrared sensors are disposed at the ceilings of the
entrance and exit of bus. The device is detecting the
irregularities of human figures with very thin laser-like
beam produced with a special lens, and counting the
number of the passengers who get on and off at every
stops. Moreover, all the bus driver have their own ID cards,
with which the data of the passengers are optically
transmitted together, to the devices provided at each
bus-stop. From the bus-stops connected to each other
with the ISDN circuit, the data in turn are sent to the
Control Center, where the operating status what are going
on with drivers, running route, number of passengers are
centralized-controlled.

Proximity Sensor

Each Pachinko Parlor is deployed with numbers of large-scale bucket to keep Pachinko balls. This sensor applies the magnetism and installed to the outside of each bucket tri-levelly to detect the level of ball accumulation and to drain balls into the pipeline when the accumulation reached to the certain level to prevent the overflow. The pipeline itself is deployed with the sensor and it monitors the flow of balls. The sensor is high-end and the detection range reaches over 10mm; however, still durable, functioning in the place like Pachinko Parlors with high volume of cigarette smoke and dust, and requires almost no maintenance for semi permanent usage.
